Mine exploration is one of the most dangerous occupations one can get involved
in. They can collapse on you, floors can fall out and timbers can disintegrate at a
single touch. When you enter one of these you take your life seriously in your own
hands. This one is located on the North side of the Franklins via the electric utility
road on Bishop Cap Ranch. Presently, the road is chained and access is not
available at this time.

was a collapsed entryway
to an even lower shaft
which we didn't have the
courage to excavate that
day...  one could have
crawled deeper into the
mine.....
